Big-Block/Small-Block Modifieds – 54 green-flag laps, $5,400 to win, $300 to take the green flag


Race No. 5 of the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series Fueled By VP Halmar International Sportswear North Region ($12,000 to 2016 series champion, $1,450 for 10th in points, $1,000 for 12th in points, $250 to any driver with perfect attendance outside the top 12)

Weights:
All Modifieds must weigh a minimum of 2,400 lbs.
*All weights are track scale pounds; weights are taken post-race, with the driver in the car

Tire Options (must be purpose-build dirt Modified tire – no specialty or Late Model tires):
Right-Rear: American Racer 48 compound or harder (any track/series stamp)
Left-Rear: American Racer 44 compound or harder (any track/series stamp)
Right-Front: American Racer 33 compound or harder (any track/series stamp)
Left-Front: American Racer 33 compound or harder (any track/series stamp)

Body Rules:
Sail panels are permitted for this event. Sail panels must be no taller than 65 inches when measured from the ground. Sail panels mirror each other in size and shape side-for-side. They must extend no further forward than the rear of the driver’s seat and no further back than the end of the quarter-panel. Angled spoiler is permitted on the rear of the roof: no taller than four inches. All other standard STSS body rules remain in effect.

Please note the STSS door-height amendment issued on April 9. Max right-side door height when measured from the ground is 40 inches. Max 41 inches on the left-side. Full rules have been posted on the STSS website.

Qualifying:
Heat-race lineups will be determined via a draw for position. Top qualifiers will transfer to the redraw; other remaining qualifiers go to the main event.  Consolations, with top finishers transferring, will set the remainder of the 24-car base starting field.  Heats and consolations are 10 laps in distance.

For general and safety rules, reference the STSS Standard Operating Procedures.

One-way radios are mandatory. The frequency is 454.000.

Sportsman – 25 green-flag laps, $1,000 to win, $100 to start *All green-flag laps

Race No. 3 of the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series Fueled By VP Open Sportsman circuit ($1,250 to the series champion plus a drum of VP Racing Fuel, $125 for 10th in points – $1,000 bonus if the champion is a Thunder Mountain Speedway regular)

Weight:
Open Sportsman (two-barrel carburetor): 2,450 lbs.
Crate 602 Sportsman (unaltered with four-barrel carburetor): 2,400 lbs.
*All weights are track scale pounds; weights are taken post-race, with the driver in the car
Rev chip not mandatory on Crate 602 engines. No gear rule.

Tire Options (must be purpose-build dirt Modified tire – no specialty or Late Model tires):

Allstar Slingshot – 20 laps, $300 to win, $50 to start

General Rules:
Standard Speedway Entertainment rules will be enforced.

Qualifying:
Slingshot heat lineups will be determined by a draw for position, with a head’s-up start for the feature. Heats and consolations are 6 laps.

One-way radios are highly recommended. The frequency is 454.000.
