With temperatures soaring into the mid-80’s, the heat of the summer sun in Ulster County had nothing on what was to transpire on the clay cushioned quarter mile speedpant known as the Accord Speedway. The action on the speedway sizzled throughout the evening as the Palmer Family launched their biggest show of the season thus far in 2010 with a packed house of racing fans and seven entertaining divisions duking it out on the speedway for a piece of the lucrative purse offerings and the chance to claim the glory and prestige in the Lucas Oil Products Winners Circle. The Doctor Has The Remedy To Capture Second Accord Speedway Main Event Of The Season On Healey Brothers Group Night

There was no need for snake oils, powders, lotions or special tasty elixirs on Friday evening at the Accord Speedway, but nevertheless there was a Doctor in the house and this Doctor threw out all of the voodoo and drove with the precision of a skilled surgeon to capture the main event at the speedway and thus becoming the second Modified stalwart to accomplishment the mission in as many weeks. Danny Johnson, the current house doctor of record, drove his Sherlock hot rod from 18th starting position to muscle past race leader Brian Malcolm on lap-23 and go on to record his second win of the season at the Palmer Family’s pristine speedplant.
Rain Forces Accord Speedway To Postpone The Opening of Mid Week Madness Until June 23rd

Mother Nature had the upper hand on this day as a light rain began falling in the morning hours in Ulster County and then tapered off allowing the Accord Speedway track staff to quickly manicure the speedway for the anticipated start of tonight’s Mid Week Madness racing events scheduled at the speedway. Just as soon as Promoter Gary Palmer was satisfied with the speedway surface, another quick shower came through the area and dashed all hopes of kicking-off the Mid Week Madness program slated for this evening, June 16th.
