With rain being listed as the top natural resource in the Hudson Valley in 2009, the impending poor weather forecast for this evening will once keep the gates closed at the Accord Speedway tonight. With Mother Nature continuing to take up residence in the greater Hudson Valley, Promoter Gary Palmer has cancelled the Wednesday night racing action scheduled for the Accord Speedway tonight. A quick hitting powerful storm pounded the Accord Speedway at 6 PM on Friday evening and was followed by another storm on top of that one to end all hopes of going racing last evening at the Accord Speedway. The Speedway now has suffered it’s eighth rainout for the Friday night shows in 2009 and the second consecutive show where the racers never had the opportunity to put their racers on the track for even the hot lap sessions.
